PSYC 206 - Social Psychology

This course is an introduction to the theory and research of how individuals think about, influence, and relate to one another. The major themes and topics include social thinking (e.g., self, attribution, belief, attitude, intuition) social influence (e.g., obedience, persuasion, propaganda, conformity, group effects) and social relations (e.g., prejudice, aggression, violence, attraction, altruism, media influence). In addition, these concepts are applied to areas such as health care, law, work, education, politics, and pop culture.
