History of Bay College
Bay de Noc Community College was founded in 1962 through the bequest of $100,000 by Catherine Bonifas in 1948 for the "establishment of a junior college in Escanaba". Through its beginnings at the old Escanaba High School to its 50th Anniversary in 2012, Bay College has become a cornerstone of education in the Upper Midwest by offering quality education at an affordable price.
